Quartet of Blue Hens Earn All-CAA Outdoor Track & Field Honors

RICHMOND, Va. -Â The University of Delaware track & field team was recognized Thursday afternoon by the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) with a quartet of 2024 outdoor All-CAA selections. Kadence Dumas, Jahnia Hodge, Alicia Lehman-Woodyard and Halima Scott all earned All-CAA honors after medaling at the CAA Outdoor Championships (May 10-11). The league honors the top three finishers from each event at the championship will All-CAA accolades.Â
Freshman distance runner Dumas earned a spot in the 800m finals after running 2:13.02. Dumas followed the performance with a personal-best time of 2:08.90 to earn her first collegiate bronze medal as her new time sits sixth in school history. Dumas' time qualified for the 2024 USATF U20 Championships and posted a time of 2:10.00 (seventh place). The Voorhees, N.J. native officially closed out her first year in the Blue & Gold uniform with nine top-10 finishes.
Senior jumper Hodge earned three more jumps thanks to her first leap of 12.13m. She then set new personal-best marks in attempt four and again at her final jump of 12.35m, also earning her first collegiate medal. Her mark sits fourth in school history. Hodge finished her collegiate career in the Blue & Gold uniform posting nine top-10 finishes including winning the triple jump at the Delaware Invitational (Apr. 6).
Senior multi Lehman-Woodyard stole the show competing in the heptathlon. Lehman-Woodyard was responsible for racking up eight points for the Blue Hens at the two-day championships. Lehman-Woodyard set a new school record and five personal-best marks/times while competing in the heptathlon:
Scott, a 400m silver medalist, was set to compete in her final championship race in the Blue Hen uniform. The Camden, N.J. native posted a time of 54.54 in prelims to qualify for finals. Scott then ran 53.38 in the finals to earn her eighth career medal. The graduate student sprinter made her second-straight appearance in the NCAA First Rounds where she clocked a time of 53.48 to finish in fourth place in the opening heat, 27th place overall, to close out her incredible Blue Hen career.
The CAA also recognized three programs with major award winners in a reveal of the Women's Track and Field postseason honors as voted by the league's head coaches.

Women's Field Athlete of the Year: Dominique Biron, Northeastern
Women's Rookie of the Year: Aaliyah Brown-Muhammad, Campbell
Women's Coach of the Year: Tramaine Shaw, Northeastern
