Burns Receives Conference Preseason Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Delaware women's soccer goalkeeper was named to the Coastal Atlantic Association's preseason team as an honorable mention, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Burns, a graduate student from Ruby, N.Y. led the country in save percentage at .911. She appeared in 14 games, including 11 starts, totaling 981 minutes. She had 51 saves, allowed five goals, leading to a 0.46 goals against average. Her goals allowed and goals against average ranked as the best in the CAA.
The Blue Hens season kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 15 at West Virginia.
