Lilia Henkel Named CAA Women’s Golfer of the Week

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware senior women's golfer Lilia Henkel has been named the CAA Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. This is the second career weekly honor for Henkel and recognizes her performance this past weekend at the 2024 Nittany Lion Invitational.
Henkel recorded her second top-10 finish in as many tournaments this fall as she tied for seventh after carding a 2-under par 70 in the second round to climb the standings. She turned in a three-round score of 4-over par 220 to help lead the Blue Hens to their second top-five performance to start the season. Delaware finished in a tie for fifth place in the 14-team field with a three-round score of 896 (+32) at the par-72, 6,423-yard Penn State Blue Course.
The Blue Hens will continue their busy start to the season next weekend when they travel to the Mary Fossum Invitational, hosted by Michigan State. The two-day, three-round tournament will take place September 22-23 at Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan.
