Women’s Golf Places 11th at Stacked Mary Fossum Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The University of Delaware women's golf team played at the very challenging Mary Fossum Invitational, finishing in 11th place in at 15-team field that featured eight programs from Power Four conferences. The Blue Hens carded a three-round score of 43-over par 907 at the par-72, 6,370-yard Forest Akers West Golf Course.

The Blue Hens will be back in action in a couple of weeks when the squad travels back out west for the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational, hosted by Kansas. The two-day, three-round tournament will take place October 7-8 at the Lawrence Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Henkel carded a team-high seven birdies over the three rounds to finish in a tie for 15th place. She fired an even-par 72 during Sunday's first round.
- Khokhlova had five birdies for the tournament, including three over the first 18 holes as she was tied with Henkel at even par.
- Malosh climbed the standings on the final day as she carded two birdies to shoot a 72 over the final 18 holes.
