Viehmann Named CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Delaware women's soccer defender Constanze Viehmann was named the Coastal Athletic Association Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Viehmann played a big role for the Blue Hens defense this week where she played all 180 minutes on the field, resulting in two clean sheet victories over Hampton and William & Mary by a score of 1-0. In the game against Hampton, she scored the go-ahead goal.
The junior from Landenburg, Germany earned her first conference weekly honor of her career and is the first Blue Hen this season to earn the honor. The last athlete to receive a conference player of the week was Kyla Burns back on Oct. 9, 2023.
The Blue Hens return home for a CAA game against Campbell on Thursday, Oct. 3 at Grant Stadium at 6 p.m. and hit the road to take on Monmouth on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m.
