NEWARK, Del. – Erik Timko scored his 2,000^th career point Thursday night in the Bob Carpenter Center to help the University of Delaware men's basketball team to an 84-74 win over Stony Brook. The Blue Hens advance to 10-8, 3-2 CAA, while the Seawolves dip to 4-14, 0-5 CAA.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

UD won both the turnover margin (+1) and rebounding margin (+12).
The Hens have shot 50.0 percent or better in their fourth-straight game after connecting on exactly 50-percent on Thursday.
Niels Lane led the team with 20 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
John Camden added 19 points and nine rebounds. He's now registered 10+ points in eight-straight games.
Izaiah Pasha dropped 12 points and corralled five rebounds.
Macon Emory finished with 11 points a tied his career mark of 11 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Delaware held a two-point lead at the break, 39-37. Neither team led the first frame by more than five points with both squads putting together their own best scoring runs of eight.
UD tallied eight-unanswered points to take its largest lead of the game to that point at 47-39 with 17:01 on the clock. The Blue & Gold used a 6-1 advantage to force a timeout by the visitors with a 54-47 score at the 12:51 mark. The Hens built the lead to as many as 17 the rest of the way, but the Seawolves could only pull within 10.

GAME NOTES

Delaware moves to 10-2 when leading at the half this season.
UD advances to 6-2 at home.
Timko becomes the 16^th active player in all of NCAA men's basketball with 2,000 career points.
