HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – University of Delaware men's basketball suffered a CAA loss Thursday evening 93-68 at the hands of the Hofstra Pride. The Blue Hens dip to 11-9, 4-3 CAA, while the Pride advance to 11-9, 3-4 CAA.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Niels Lane and Erik Timko paced the Blue & Gold with 16 points apiece.
John Camden added 15 points and corralled a team-best six rebounds.
Izaiah Pasha and Lane each handed out five assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Despite UD scoring the opening bucket, Hofstra held a 13-11 lead at the first break of the game at 15:05. The Pride extended its lead to 31-22, which forced a timeout by the Hens with 7:42 remaining in the opening frame. Delaware cut into the margin as the home team took a 43-36 lead into the half.
After trading the first 14 points to open the second stanza, Hofstra used an 8-0 run over 1:06 to widen the gap to 58-43 at the 15:21 mark. The Pride ballooned the margin to 28 at one point and prevailed.

GAME NOTES

Delaware moves to 0-7 when trailing at the half this season.
Alex McFadden scored his first career point with an and one opportunity in the final minute of play.
