PHILADELPHIA – University of Delaware men's basketball dropped a Saturday contest at Drexel, 67-54. The Blue Hens dip to 11-10, 4-4 CAA, while the Dragons move up to 12-9, 4-4 CAA.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Cavan Reilly posted a team-high 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting.
Erik Timko also finished in double figures with 14 points on his return to Philadelphia.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After Drexel took the first five points of the game, UD answered with a 6-0 run. The Dragons hit one more bucket to take the 7-6 lead into the first stoppage at 14:40. In a close first frame, the home team only led by as many as five at 35-30, but one more field goal from the Hens made it 35-32 at the half.
More of the same in the second period until Drexel used a 6-0 run over 1:35 to take a double-digit lead 50-40 when UD called timeout at 12:46. The Blue & Gold fought back and cut the deficit to four with 8:17 on the clock. During the comeback, UD held the home team without a field goal for nearly four minutes, and just two for its last 13 attempts. Four points would be the closest Delaware would come down the stretch.

GAME NOTES

Delaware drops to 0-8 when trailing at the half this season.
The 54 points is the fewest scored by the Hens this season.
