Women’s Swimming & Diving Falls to Penn

PHILADELPHIA - University of Delaware women's swimming and diving program was defeated by the University of Pennsylvania in its first away meet of the year by a score of 175.00 to 118.00.
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Victoria Novinskiy continued her stellar start to the season for the Fightin' Blue Hens by winning two events, just two weeks after setting the ASUN record in the 200-fly at 2:01.10.
- Alex Pastris placed third in the 1M dive at 265.05, earning an NCAA Diving Zone cut in the process.
RESULTS
- Delaware placed first in four events on the day.
The following athletes finished in first place in their respective events:
- Bri Cottingham raced to victory in the 100-yd breast for the second meet in a row at 1:03.84.
- Novinskiy picked up two wins in the meet, winning the 200-fly and 200-IM
- In the 200-IM, Novinskiy raced to a win at 2:03.12 and was followed up by Marisa Schenkenberger and Torun McGillis.
- The final win of the day for the UD was in the 200-yd free. Angi Ragazzoni, Elishka Hajek, Abby Steinbrook, and Olivia Willemsen at 1:36.23.
UP NEXT
The Blue Hens travel back to the Keystone State from November 20-22, to compete in the Bucknell Invitational for their first multi-day event of the season.
