Football Heads to Sam Houston for First-Ever Matchup

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware football team will head to Sam Houston on Saturday, November 15 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. This will be the first game between the two schools.

ABOUT THE HENS
- Delaware enters the contest 5-4, 3-3 CUSA, following a 25-24 home win over LA Tech, courtesy of a game-winning field goal by K Nate Reed with 12 seconds left.
- QB Nick Minicucci leads the team with 2,718 passing yards and 17 touchdown passes, while rushing for a team-best eight touchdowns to rank second in CUSA at the position. His eight rushing scores are tied for the 13th-most nationally at the position and tied for 10th-most in the country among QBs with nine games played. The signal caller also ranks first in CUSA and fifth nationally with 302.0 passing yards per contest. He also leads the league and ranks fourth in the nation in total offense with 327.7 yards per game.
- RB Jo Silver, a preseason Doak Walker Award Candidate, leads UD's rushing attack with 472 rushing yards on the season to go with three rushing touchdowns.
- WR Kyre Duplessis, who is first in CUSA and 49th nationally in receiving yards per game (70.2), paces the Hens with 46 receptions, 632 yards, and five receiving touchdowns.
- LB Gavin Moul leads the Hens with 80 tackles, sitting t-29th nationally and third in CUSA. His 8.9 tackles per game ranks t-27th in the nation.
- The Blue & Gold lead the conference in total offense (417.4), passing offense (304.9), first downs per game (23.8), and average punt return yards (15.7).

- The Bearkats enter the contest 1-8, 0-5 CUSA, coming off a 21-17 win over Sam Houston.
- Sam Houston is led by head coach Phil Longo, who owns a 1-8 record in his first season.
- Sam Houston's offense is led by QB Hunter Watson, who has 1,108 passing yards and five touchdowns on the season.
- The Bearkats are led on the ground by RB Landan Coco Brown, who has 306 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the campaign.
- WR Chris Reed is the team's leading receiver with 278 yards and three touchdowns.
