Women’s Lacrosse Adds Six on National Signing Day

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Amy Altig announced the addition of six signees on Wednesday as part of National Signing Day. The three student-athletes will join the Fightin' Blue Hens ahead of the 2027 season as members of the Delaware Class of 2030.
The six newest Blue Hens hail from four different states with two from New Jersey, two from Pennsylvania and one each from Delaware and Georgia. The group features three attackers, two midfielders and one defender.
Ashley Anne Braun
Midfield
Marietta, Ga. / Alan C. Pope High School
Bio: A four-year starter at Alan C. Pope High School, serving as a two-time team captain… Helped lead Alan C. Pope to the Georgia Division 2 Elite Eight in 2023 and 2024, and the Georgia Division 2 Final Four in 2025… As a junior, totaled 25 goals, 21 assists, 55 draw controls, 16 caused turnovers and six ground balls… Named team MVP as a sophomore with 37 goals, 11 assists, 60 draw controls, 10 caused turnovers and 16 ground balls… Earned 5A All-State Second Team and 5A Area 2 All-Area Second Team honors as a junior… Also named all-area first team in 2024 and second team in 2023… Named All-Cobb County Honorable Mention as a freshman… Played club lacrosse for Eaglestix Blue 2026… In the classroom, is an honor roll student, a member of the National Honors Society, and was named a USA Lacrosse All-Academic selection in 2025

Bio: A four-year starter in high school, spending her final three years at Paul VI High School after playing her freshman season at Penn Charter… Served as a team captain… Earned first team all-conference honors as a junior … Through her first three years, has totaled 130 goals, 59 assists, 23 draw controls and 13 caused turnovers… Played club lacrosse for STEPS Elite Blue 2026 NJ … Also played field hockey … In the classroom, is an honors student.

Bio: A four-year starter at Princeton High School, serving as a two-time captain… Earned CVC Honorable Mention honors in 2023 and 2024 before receiving CVC First Team recognition as a junior… Has recorded more than 100 goals and 300 points through her first three years … Also a four-year varsity member of the soccer and basketball teams… Played club lacrosse for Ultimate Lacrosse NJ.

Bio: A four-year starter at The Hill School, serving as a team captain as a senior… Earned All-MAPL Honorable Mention honors… Also a starter on the basketball team… Played club lacrosse for Nxt 2026 Black, earning a team ranking as high as fifth in the country… Mother, Kara, was on the soccer and rowing teams at Brown and father, John, played football at Stanford.

Bio: A four-year starter at Marple Newtown High School, serving as a two-time team captain… Named Marple Newtown's defensive MVP in 2025… Earned All-Central Second Team and All-Delco Second Team honors as a junior, as well as All-Central Honorable Mention and All-Delco Honorable mention recognition as a sophomore… Through her first three seasons, has totaled 82 caused turnovers and 62 ground balls… Played club lacrosse for Delco Lacrosse Club… Also played basketball and indoor track & field, holding the school's 4x200 record.

Jenkintown, Pa. / Abington High School
Bio: A four-year starter at Abington High School, serving as a two-time team captain… Led Abington in scoring in each of her first three years and earning team MVP honors as a junior … Was a three-time Suburban One – American League First Team selection as a midfielder … Through her first three seasons, has totaled 160 goals, 49 assists, 218 draw controls and 67 caused turnovers… Also a member of the volleyball and swim teams, helping lead the swim team to a district championship… Played club lacrosse for HHH Philly, earning a team ranking as high as sixth nationally… In the classroom, earned distinguished academic honors and is a member of the National Honors Society… Grandfather, Frederick Pennekamp, was on the crew team at Georgetown and a member of the U.S. National Rowing Team… Cousin, Emily Sykes, swam at the University of Tennessee and participated in the U.S. Olympic Trials… Cousin, Rebecca Sykes, swam at McDaniel University.
