Football Travels to Wake Forest Saturday

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware football team will head to Wake Forest on Saturday, November 22 at Noon on the ACC Network. This will be the third game between the two schools with Delaware looking for its first win in the series.

ABOUT THE HENS

Delaware enters the contest 5-5, 3-4 CUSA, following a 26-23 road loss to Sam Houston.
QB Nick Minicucci leads the team with 3,056 passing yards and 18 touchdown passes, while rushing for a team-best nine touchdowns to rank first in CUSA at the position. His nine rushing scores are tied for the 12th-most nationally at the position and tied for ninth-most in the country among QBs with 10 games played. The signal caller also ranks first in CUSA and second nationally with 305.6 passing yards per contest. He also leads the league and ranks fourth in the nation in total offense with 325.3 yards per game.
RB Jo Silver, a preseason Doak Walker Award Candidate, leads UD's rushing attack with 472 rushing yards on the season to go with three rushing touchdowns.
WR Sean Wilson, who is first in CUSA and 42nd nationally in receiving yards per game (71.4), paces the Hens with 50 receptions and 714 yards to go with four receiving touchdowns.
LB Gavin Moul leads the Hens with 85 tackles, sitting 36th nationally and fourth in CUSA. His 8.5 tackles per game ranks t-35th in the nation.
The Blue & Gold lead the conference in passing offense (308.2), first downs per game (23.9), average kick return yards (24.4) and average punt return yards (15.7).

ABOUT THE DEMON DEACONS

The Demon Deacons enter the contest 7-3, 4-3 ACC, coming off a 28-12 win over North Carolina.
Wake Forest is led by head coach Jake Dickert, who owns a 7-3 record in his first season with the Demon Deacons. He was previously the leader of Washington State for three and a half seasons from 2021-24, going 23-20 in that stretch.
Wake Forest's offense is led by QB Robby Ashford, who has 1,535 passing yards and four touchdowns on the season.
The Demon Deacons are led on the ground by RB Demond Claiborne, who has 812 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the campaign.
WR Chris Barnes is the team's leading receiver with 504 yards and three touchdowns.
On defense, S Nick Andersen has 81 tackles on the year to lead the team.
