WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The University of Delaware football team fell to Wake Forest, 52-14, at Allegacy Stadium on Saturday. The Fightin' Blue Hens drop to 5-6, 3-4 CUSA, while the Demon Deacons rise to 8-3, 3-3 ACC.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

QB Nick Minicucci finished 21-for-30 for 140 yards and a touchdown.
QB Braden Streeter completed 11-of-17 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.
RB Viron Ellison Jr. rushed for 34 yards on nine carries while leading the team with a career-best 60 receiving yards on seven catches including a long reception of 43 yards for a touchdown.
WR Max Patterson hauled in three receptions for 33 yards and a score.
S KT Seay led the team with eight tackles to go with his third interception of the season.
S Nasir Eatmon grabbed his first-career interception.
LB Marje Mulumba tallied 2.0 TFLs with five tackles.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Wake Forest got on the board first with a one-yard rushing touchdown to go up 7-0 nearly eight minutes into the first frame.
The Demon Deacons scored their second-rushing touchdown of the opening quarter with 2:13 left followed by a successful two-point rush to go up 15-0.
Minicucci found Ellison Jr. for a 43-yard touchdown up the sideline, capping a 10-play, 75-yard scoring drive to make it 15-7 with 12:47 remaining in the first half.
Wake added a 44-yard field goal with 9:40 left in the second quarter to increase its lead to 18-7.
A four-yard rushing touchdown by the home team put the Demon Deacons up 24-7 with 4:39 left in the second quarter.
Wake Forest knocked in a 54-yard field goal try to make it 28-7 with 2:15 left in the half.
A Delaware fumble followed by a 79-yard touchdown pass for Wake Forest gave the Demon Deacons a 35-7 advantage heading into the locker room.
Wake Forest scored the next 17 points to go up 52-7.
Streeter found Patterson in the endzone for a touchdown with 1:59 left in the contest to make it 52-14.

GAME NOTES

Delaware scored the first touchdown allowed by Wake Forest's defense since November 1 against Florida State. The two opponents the Demon Deacons halted were a pair of ACC foes in No. 12 Virginia and North Carolina.
Minicucci's 30 passing attempts brought him to 445 on the season, giving him the second-most attempts in a single season in program history behind Joe Flacco (521, 2007). His 21 completions now gives him 279 in 2025, putting him in third place all-time in a season behind Flacco (331, 2007) and Nolan Henderson (285, 2022). Minicucci now sits third in total yards in a season with 3,380, trailing Flacco (4,285, 2007) and Andy Hall (3,474, 2003).
After finding 10 targets, UD has found at least eight different pass catchers in nine of 11 games this season and 10 or more in six games.
RB Jared Porter and CB Jalen Ross made their first-collegiate appearances. Porter tallied six carries for 27 yards on the ground as well as two catches for 15 yards.
