Men's Swimming & Diving's Namakonov and Snyder Set Program Records; in Second After Day Two of Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – University of Delaware men's swimming & diving is in second place after the second day at the Bucknell Invitational with 743 points and one day of competition remaining at the midseason invite.
In his preliminary 100-breast race, Matvei Namakonov swam to a 51:47 time, breaking the Kinney Natatorium record; he tied that mark again in the finals, placing first in both races.
Kade Snyder grabbed his first-career program record in the 100-fly at 46.51.
RESULTS
In the first race of the night on the men's side, the Fightin' Blue Hens captured the victory in the 200-medley relay. Snyder, Namakonov, Manuel Osorio, and Addison Collins finished at 1:25.09, placing fifth in team history.
Dylan Smolders grabbed the tenth-fastest time in program history in the 400-IM, placing sixth in the finals at 3:56.38.
Manuel Osorio placed fourth in the 100-fly at 48.01. He also earned a third-place finish in the 100-breast at 54.34.
Brian Wilbur recorded a sixth-place finish in the 100-breast, finishing with a time of 54.77.
Addison Collins placed second in the 200-free preliminary race, at 1:36.74, good for fourth in program history. He upped that time by .59 seconds in the finals to stay in the same position all-time and finished second in the finals as well.
Snyder won his second individual race of the day in the 100-back, finishing at 47.39, winning by almost a full second margin. Kaloyan Levterov placed third at 48.66, while James Haney grabbed sixth place at 49.27.
Cody Lonsberry, Haney, Brady Robidas, and Collins finished fifth in the 800-free relay with a time of 6:39.37, good for 10th in team history.

The third and final day of the event, starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow, with the finals starting at 5 p.m.
