Correa Named CUSA Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week

DALLAS – University of Delaware women's basketball's Kailah Correa was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week after her performance against American, the league announced Monday. It is the first time a Fightin' Blue Hen has earned a CUSA Weekly Award in program history.
Correa scored a team-high 18 points as the University of Delaware women's basketball team went 1-0 this week with a 68-57 win over American. The Lebanon, Pa. native reached the 10-point threshold for the third time this season in her first four career games. This season, Correa leads Conference USA freshmen in points per game (13.3) and field goal percentage (55.3).
The Hens will travel to Baltimore, Maryland for a clash with Loyola (Md.) on Wednesday, November 26 at 1 p.m. The game will air on ESPN+.
