Football Hosts LA Tech for Homecoming

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware football team will host LA Tech on Saturday, November 8 at 3 p.m. on ESPN+ for Homecoming. The Fightin' Blue Hens are 50-19 all-time on Homecoming inside Delaware Stadium. The lone matchup against LA Tech came in the DI-AA semifinal in which the Hens won 17-0 on 12/11/1982.

ABOUT THE HENS
- Delaware enters the contest 4-4, 2-3 CUSA, following a 59-30 road loss to Liberty.
- QB Nick Minicucci leads the team with 2,414 passing yards and 15 touchdown passes, while rushing for a team-best eight touchdowns to rank first in CUSA. His eight rushing scores are tied for the 12th-most nationally at the position and 10th-most in the country among QBs with eight games played. The signal caller also ranks first in CUSA and sixth nationally with 301.8 passing yards per contest. He also leads the league and ranks fourth in the nation in total offense with 323.8 yards per game.
- RB Jo Silver, a preseason Doak Walker Award Candidate, leads UD's rushing attack with 451 rushing yards on the season to go with three rushing touchdowns.
- WR Kyre Duplessis, who is first in CUSA and 57th nationally in receiving yards per game (69.3), paces the Hens with 40 receptions, 554 yards, and four receiving touchdowns.
- LB Gavin Moul leads the Hens with 69 tackles, sitting t-67th nationally and fourth in CUSA. His 8.6 tackles per game ranks t-32nd in the nation.
- The Blue & Gold lead the conference in total offense (419.8), passing offense (305.0), touchdowns per game (3.88), first downs per game (24.0), third down conversion rate (46.6%), and average punt return yards (17.8).
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
- The Bulldogs enter the contest 5-3, 3-2 CUSA, coming off a 55-14 win over Sam Houston.
- LA Tech is led by head coach Sonny Combie, who owns a 18-32 career record and 16-29 record in four seasons at the helm of the Bulldogs.
- LA Tech's offense is led by QB Blake Baker, who has 1,210 passing yards and five touchdowns on the season.
- The Bulldogs are led on the ground by RB Clay Thevenin, who has 439 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the campaign.
- TE Eli Finley is the team's leading receiver with 333 yards.
- On defense, DB Jacob Fields has 57 tackles on the year to lead the team.
- The Bulldogs have 13 interceptions on the season, tied for 5th in the nation, and have four interception returns for touchdowns, tied for the most in the country.
