Men's Soccer's Elliott Jr. Named to TopDrawerSoccer's First Freshman Best XI Team

LONG BEACH, Calif. - JoJo Elliott Jr. of the University of Delaware men's soccer team has been named to TopDrawerSoccer's Freshman Best XI Team, the organization announced Friday.Â

Elliott Jr. earned first team honors after recording nine shutouts and 53 saves on the year. He was the fifth ranked Freshman in Nation on TopDrawerSoccer's Top 100 Midseason Freshman Watchlist, earned Second Team All-Summit League, Second Team All-ECAC, and was a three-time Summit League Defensive Performer of the Week (Aug. 26, Sept. 9, Sept. 16).
He tied the program record for most single-season shutouts (9), is tied for fourth in goalie wins (11), and is eighth in the record books in save percentage (.828). Elliott Jr.'s 11 wins put him seventh in individual career program history and his save percentage is currently second. He ranked ninth in the NCAA in goals against average (0.688) and shutouts (9), and 10th in save percentage (0.828).
