Track & Field Competed at Multiple Meets This Weekend

STATE COLLEGE/LEWISBURG, Penn. - University of Delaware track & field team competed at two different meets this weekend.

The Blue Hens sent a handful of athletes to State College, Penn. to compete at the Penn State National Open. In addition, they sent their multi athletes to Lewisburg, Penn. to compete at the Bucknell open on Friday.

BUCKNELL OPEN RESULTS

Sara Manson was the top finisher in the Women's pentathlon with a score of 3258. The score ranks second in program history. Manson finished first in the long jump (5.34 meters), second in the 60 hurdles (9.08 seconds), fourth in the 800 meter run (2:25.65), seventh in the high jump (1.43 meters) and ninth in the shot put (8.31 meters.
Sarah Sharp was fourth overall in the pentathlon with a score of 2987. Her score ranks eighth in program history. She finished third in the high jump (1.49 meters), fifth in the 800 meter run (2:30.17), seventh in the 60 meter hurdles (9.55) eighth in the shot put (8.58 meters) and 12th in the long jump (4.59 meters).

PENN STATE NATIONAL OPEN RESULTS

Olamide Ayeni threw 13.54 meters in the shot put.
Sophia Axelrod and Maya Giordano threw 14.71 meters and 14.40 meters in the weight throw
