Cross Country/Track & Field Announce 2025-26 Newcomers

NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware Cross Country/Track & Field program has added 14 newcomers for the 2025-26 season; head coach Josh Hayman announced on Friday.

The Fightin' Blue Hens welcome three sprints/jumps athletes, three sprinters, two multis athletes, and five distance runners.

Emily Brown | Sprints/Jumps | Providence, R.I | Chariho Regional
Â
The freshman was the outdoor state champion in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, as well as an indoor high jump All-American and outdoor heptathlon All-American in 2025. She holds the Chariho Regional school record in the indoor pentathlon, long jump, high jump, and 4-by-200 meter relay team, as well as the outdoor pentathlon and heptathlon.Â

The freshman will compete in sprints and jumps. Her current personal records are 11.96 in the 100-meters, 25.78 in the 200-meters and 17-feet 10.5-inches in the long jump.Â

Cassidy Donovan | Distance | Blauvelt, N.Y. | Tappan Zee
Â
Donovan was an all-league and all-county athlete all four years in high school, and was a three-time all-section and all-state athlete who helped Tappan Zee win the cross country county championship.Â

Delana Einreinhofer | Distance | Stockholm, N.J. | Wallkill Valley RegionalÂ
Â
Einreinhofer was the state sectional outdoor champ in the 1600-meters from 2022-25, as well as in the 3200-meters from 2023-25, and 800-meters in 2025.Â
Â
She also was a medalist in the indoor New Jersey Meet of Champions in the 1600-meters and the runner up in the 3200-meters, in addition to being a four-time first team all-county and all-conference honoree. Einreinhofer also had the fifth best indoor two mile time in the United States.

Jahzara Emeli | Sprints | Baldwin, N.Y. | Baldwin high school

The freshman will primarily compete in sprints. She set a personal best in the 200-meters at 24.57 and a season-best time of 59.09 in the 400-meters this summer. Her personal best in the 400-meters is 57.01.Â

Marie-Theres Gruber | Distance | Sankt Koloman, Austria
The senior is a transfer from International University will compete in the cross country season, and long distance events during the track season. She set a personal best of 16:09.08 in the 5,000-meters back on May 31, 2025. Gruber also finished second in the Austrian championships in the 1500-meters back on August 3, 2025.

Alexis Hardy | Sprints | Reading, Pa. | Wyomissing Area
Â
Hardy was a three-time all-county athlete, an all-state athlete in 2025 and was named the female track athlete of the year at Wyomissing Area. She holds the program record in the 100-meters at 11.91, and 200-meters at 24.28.Â

Isabelle Kapoor | Multi's | Pleasantville, N.Y. | Pleasantville
Â
The graduate student from New York previously competed at Clemson prior to transferring to UD. She received All-ACC academic honors and helped the Tigers win the ACC Indoor Championships in 2025. Her score of 3,417 in the pentathlon ranks in the top 10 all-time at Clemson.Â

Rachel Kuehl | Sprints/Jumps | McFarland, Wisc. | McFarlandÂ
Â
The native comes to the 302 after helping McFarland High School win the conference and regional championships in 2023, as well as the sectional championship in 2025. Her current personal records are 12.40 in the 100-meters, 25.72 in the 200-meters, 18-feet 7-inches in the long jump and 5-feet 4-inches in the high jump.Â

Marleigh Lucas | Sprints | Bowie, Md. | St. John's College High SchoolÂ

The freshman set personal records of 25.20 in the 200-meters and 57.60 in the 400-meters. Her father, Kenneth Lucas, played for the UD football team from 1984-88.Â

Nadia Lytle | Throws | Washington, D.C. | School Without Walls
Â
The Blue Hens add another talented athlete to their throws group with Lytle. She is a six-time All-American, four-time Washington Post All-Met recipient, and was the 2025 DCSAA Outdoor Field Athlete MVP. She currently holds the Washington D.C. record for the indoor shot put at 46-feet 11-inches, outdoor shot put at 47-feet 9-inches and discus throw at 145-feet.Â

Catherine Richards | Distance | Chantilley, Va. | Paul IV Catholic
Â
Richards will compete for the cross country and track & field team for the 2025-26 season. In her senior year, she placed first in the 3200-meters at 11:16 and second in the 1600-meters at 5:12 at the Virginia State Catholic Championships.

Taylor Stone | Multis/Jumps | Middletown, Del. | Middletown
Â
The 302 native broke the Middletown High School record in the high jump at 5-feet 5-inches, 100-meter hurdles at 14.97 and 300-meter hurdles at 46.54. Her father, Eric, was a former sixth round pick for the Detroit Tigers.Â

Thiry enters her sophomore season with the Blue Hens after competing at Gettysburg College in 2024-25. She earned all-conference honors during the indoor and outdoor season. She finished first in the indoor conference championships in the 3,000-meters and earned a third-place finish in the 10,000-meters in the outdoor conference championships.Â

The Blue Hens kick off the 2025 season at the Mount 5K Duals in Emmitsburg, Md. hosted by Mount St. Mary's on Friday, August 29 at 10 a.m.
