Track & Field Competes in Final Meet before CAA Championships

BOSTON – University of Delaware track & field team competed in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Saturday's meet was the Blue Hens last competition before the team travels to Virginia Beach, Va. to compete in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship.

RESULTS
The following athletes were the top finishers for the Blue Hens in their respective events:

Kadence Dumas ran a time of 2:55.83 in the 1,000-meter run. Her time in the event ranks seventh in program history.
Emarie Jackson was second in the shot put (14.62 meters)
Mackenzie Stephens was fifth in the weight throw with a personal best throw of 15.67 meters
Madison Gee was sixth in the triple jump (11.36 meters)
Sara Manson was eighth in the long jump (5.45 meters). She also had a time of 9.08 seconds in the 60-hurdles
Morgan Mims in the 400-meter dash (58.50)
Lauren Leath in the 800-meter run (2:16.01)
Jacquelyn Rolle in the 200-meter dash (25.61)
Marisaa Dailey in the 1-mile (4:57.08)
Rachel Starr in the 3,000-meter run (10:09.31)
