Drexel’s Hot Shooting Too Much for Men’s Basketball

NEWARK, Del. – Drexel's hot shooting was too much for University of Delaware men's basketball Thursday evening with the Blue Hens (12-16, 5-10 CAA) falling to the Dragons (14-14, 6-9 CAA) 78-74.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Izaiah Pasha neared his first career double-double for the second-straight game. He finished with 14 points and tied his career mark of nine assists. The rookie added four rebounds and three steals to his line.
- Niels Lane led all scorers with 18 points on an 8-of-9 outing.
- John Camden (15) and Macon Emory (10) also finished in double figures.
- Drexel scored the first nine points before Martin Ingelsby called timeout. The Dragons remained stout defensively and held UD without a field goal until 14:49 when Emory drained a triple. The visitors went ahead by as many as 12 at 24-12, before the Hens rallied off a 14-4 run over 4:16 to cut it to 28-26 with 6:17 left. Drexel pulled ahead 44-35 at the half.
- Delaware opened the second half with a 10-2 run in 2:18 to force a Drexel timeout with the score at 46-45. UD took the lead after a pair of Camden free throws at 49-48. A 10-2 margin for DU put the Dragons back ahead 58-51 at the under-12 media stoppage. The Blue & Gold would only pull within three on a pair of occasions the rest of the way.
- Delaware is 0-16 when trailing at halftime this season.
