Women's Lacrosse Outshines Mount St. Mary's, 12-9

EMMITSBURG, Md. - University of Delaware women's lacrosse (2-1) picked up a 12-9 road victory Saturday afternoon against Mount St. Mary's (2-1).
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- The Blue Hens won the draw control (+4) and ground ball (+2) margins.
- Steph Marszal (2-1) tallied nine saves, scooped up four ground balls, and caused one turnover.
- Delaney McDaniel led the team with five points on a trio of goals and pair of helpers. She needs two more assists to reach 100 for her career.
- Jaclyn Marszal recorded three points on a pair of scores and one helper. Like her sister, she also had four ground balls.
- Ella Rishko (2G), Sam Paradise (2G), and Callie Drab (2A) all notched two points for the Hens. Rishko posted a team-high six draw controls.
- Morgan Gore (1G), Maggie Craytor (1G), Halen Saroney (1G), and Kiki Grant (1A) all registered a point apiece.
- Maggie Farragher, Maddy Mobilia, and Kennedy Radziul all forced a pair of turnovers, with the latter picking up three ground balls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Delaware outpaced the opposition by one goal in each of the first three quarters for a 10-6 lead heading into the final stanza.
- The Mount would outscore the Blue & Gold in the final period, but the comeback bid fell short.
UP NEXT
The Hens return home for a Wednesday match-up against nationally-ranked Princeton.
