Men’s Basketball Holds on to Key CAA Victory Against William & Mary, 74-64

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's basketball held on to a key CAA victory Saturday afternoon inside the Bob Carpenter Center as the Blue Hens topped William & Mary 74-64. UD advances to 12-13 overall and 5-7 in league play with the Tribe dipping to 14-11, 8-4 CAA.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- UD won the rebounding battle (+6) to improve to 9-1 this season when doing so.
- The Hens out shot the Tribe in all three aspects of the game.
- For the third-straight game, Trent Middleton Jr. finished with a double-digit scoring total as the Philadelphia, Pa. native recorded his first career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The 10 boards are a career best.
- Cavan Reilly led the team with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting.
- John Camden dropped 17 points and snagged eight rebounds.
- Izaiah Pasha rounded out the quartet of double-figure scorers with 13. He added seven rebounds.
- After most of the first half was back-and-forth, Delaware used an 18-3 run over 6:33 to take a 36-21 heading into the final media stoppage of the half. Over that span, UD held the Tribe to 1-of-8 from the field. With 2.5 seconds on the clock, Reilly launched a deep three off the sideline out of bounds and beat the buzzer to give the Blue & Gold a 43-30 lead into the locker room.
- The visitors used a 10-2 advantage over the initial 4:09 of the second stanza to cut the gap to five at 45-40. William & Mary took a one-point lead with 9:32 remaining, but that lead dissipated in less than 90 seconds. A defensive showing from the Hens led to an 18-7 margin the rest of the way.
- UD moves its win streak to six games over the Tribe.
- Delaware improves to 3-0 when wearing its grey uniforms this season.
- The Hens advance to 12-3 when leading at the half.
- The Blue & Gold move to 90-23 under Martin Ingelsby when holding opponents below 70 points, including 50-8 the past four seasons and 5-1 this year.
Delaware will head to Towson on Thursday night.
