Men’s Basketball Rolls Past Campbell to Become Lowest Seed Ever to Advance to CAA Quarterfinals

WASHINGTON, D.C. – University of Delaware men's basketball (14-19) rolled past Campbell (15-17), 79-62, to become the lowest seed in CAA Men's Basketball Championship history to advance to the quarterfinals. The Blue Hens will take on fourth-seeded William & Mary on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- UD held the advantage in all three shooting aspects of the game.
- The Blue & Gold won both the turnover (+2) and rebounding (+9) margins.
- Niels Lane tied his career high in points with 24. He did so on 11-of-15 shooting.
- Erik Timko recorded his second career double-double with 19 points and a career-best 12 rebounds.
- John Camden secured his third career double-double with 15 points and a career mark of 12 boards.
- Cavan Reilly scored 10 points to round out the quartet.
- Izaiah Pasha snagged a career-high 10 rebounds and tied his career best with nine assists. He also blocked a trio of shots for a career high.
- Timko, Camden, and Pasha are the first Hens to each record double-digit rebounds in a game since at least the turn of the century.
- The Hens won the tipoff and were quick to find the bottom of the net as Camden laid it in just five seconds into the game. At the under-16 timeout, the score was knotted at nine apiece. Campbell used a 7-0 run in the middle of the period to pull ahead 16-11 at the 12:55 mark. UD answered with a 10-2 margin over the final 2:03 to run into the locker room up 36-30.
- Delaware pushed the lead to 10 with the first four points of the second half, however Campbell responded with a 10-2 spurt to pull it back to a two-point game at 42-40. UD built it back up to as many as nine, but the Camels made it a one-possession game on two occasions. The Hens scored nine-unanswered points to balloon the lead to double figures the rest of the way.
- Delaware advances to 14-4 when leading at the half this season.
- UD is 10-2 when out rebounding its opposition this year.
- This is the first time two Hens had a double-double since Christian Ray and Jyáre Davis did so at Elon on February 15, 2024.
- The Hens are the eighth team in tournament history to make the quarterfinals as a double-digit seed and lowest ever.
- The Blue & Gold move to 91-23 under Martin Ingelsby when holding opponents under 70 points, including 51-8 the past four seasons, and 6-1 in 2024-25.
