Men’s Basketball Continues Historic Run with 100-78 Win Over Fourth-Seeded William & Mary

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Another historic win came Sunday afternoon in the nation's capital with the 12th-seeded University of Delaware men's basketball team taking down fourth-seeded William & Mary, 100-78, to become the lowest seed ever to reach to CAA Men's Basketball Championship Semifinals. The Blue Hens (15-19) will take on top-seeded Towson Monday night at 6 p.m. with the game airing nationally on CBS Sports Network.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- The Hens outshot the Tribe in all three facets of the game, including a season-high 62.1 percent from long range en route to setting a CAA Tournament record and tying a program single game record of 18 triples.
- Delaware's 53 second half points ties the season high set against Yale in which UD also scored 100 points.
- The Blue & Gold's 100 points ties a program record with two 100-point games in a season (1990-91 & 1991-92).
- John Camden scored a career-high 36 points, which is the most by a Blue Hen in CAA Tournament history. He went 11-of-15 overall, including 8-of-10 from long range. The Downingtown, Pa. native added seven rebounds and five assists.
- Erik Timko was second on the team with 13 points and corralled five rebounds.
- Izaiah Pasha tallied 12 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and two blocks.
- Cavan Reilly (11) and Niels Lane (10) also scored in double figures.
- The game was back-and-forth until the Tribe ripped off three-straight triples to pull ahead 27-21 which was the largest differential by either team in the first half. Delaware used a 9-2 run over 2:10 to pull ahead 37-35 thanks to a trio of three pointers. After an 8-0 run by William & Mary, back-to-back treys from Macon Emory knotted the game at 43 all. The four-seed claimed six of the final 10 points of the half to hold a 49-47 lead at the break.
- After the Tribe scored the first five points of the second stanza, the Blue & Gold used a 13-1 run over 3:36 to pull ahead 60-55 at the under-16 media stoppage. Delaware continued to widen the gap with a 16-9 advantage over the next 7:52 to go up 76-64 with 8:15 left. UD cemented the win with a 24-14 advantage the rest of the way.
- Delaware is just the second double-digit seed to make the semifinals in tournament history, joining the 10th-seeded Hofstra Pride in 2002.
- The Hens 18 threes set a CAA Tournament record. The previous record of 15 had been done twice.
- UD picks up its first win of the season when trailing at the half to move the record to 1-15.
- Timko needs one more three pointer to hit 300 for his career.
- Delaware set a single season program record for three point field goals made, surpassing the 282 made in 2018-19.
