Vasilenko & Kack Earn CAA Doubles Team of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Delaware women's tennis duo Alina Vasilenko & Cornelia Kack have been selected as the CAA Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.Â
The pair earned this week's accolade after a strong clinch during Saturday's match against Army's Vennmukiil Mathivanan & Emma Sy, 6-1. The doubles point helped the Blue Hens edge out the Black Knights' win streak as Delaware finished victorious, 6-1.Â
On the season, Vasilenko & Kack post a record of 12-3. This is the second time they have been honored with this award, the first being the week of Mar. 18 after a CAA take down at Stony Brook and Hofstra.Â
Following this afternoon's away match at St. Joe's, the Blue Hens will travel to VCU for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday.Â
