Gluck Makes Program History in Delaware CAA Sweep

ELON, N.C. - The No. 4 University of Delaware men's tennis team swept No. 5 Hofstra in the quarterfinals of the 2025 CAA Tennis Championships hosted by Elon on Friday afternoon, 4-0.Â
Alexandre Gluck made program history as he achieved 74 career singles wins after earning the first Blue Hen singles point. Over his four years with Delaware, Gluck was able to top the previous record of 73 wins held by alumni Luis Molina & Troy Beneck.Â
Delaware entered the tournament with a 13-8 overall and 3-0 conference record after sweeping Hofstra earlier in the season, 7-0.Â
ON THE RECORDÂ
"Huge win for the team and another step towards our final goal," said head coach Marc Pibernat. "Despite the score saying 4-0 it was a battle, and we had to play our best tennis to find this important win. Massive shoutout to our captain Alexandre Gluck for breaking the record for most singles win in program history at 74 wins. No one deserves this more than him for what he brings to the team. Our focus now is on the semifinals tomorrow against UNCW."Â
