Casper Nerpin Named CAA Men’s Golfer of the Week

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's golfer Casper Nerpin has been named the CAA Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. The award, the first of the season for the Blue Hens, recognizes Nerpin for his performance at the Testudo Cup this past weekend.

Nerpin recorded his best career finish as he came in second in the individual standings with a personal-best 5-under par over the three rounds. He carded a season-low 4-under par 68 in the second round, before turning in a second-straight under-par round on Sunday with a 2-under par 70. The junior totaled 11 birdies and an eagle over the 54 holes.

This is Nerpin's third-career CAA Golfer of the Week selection. He was twice recognized during the 2022-23 season when he was named the CAA Rookie of the Year.

Delaware placed second at the Testudo Cup, hosted by the University of Maryland as all five members of the lineup finished in the top 20. The Blue Hens carded consecutive under-par round for the second time this season with a 286 during Saturday's second round and a 281 on Sunday.

UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will wrap up the regular season this weekend when they make the short trip to Penn State for the Rutherford Intercollegiate. The two-day, three-round tournament will be held April 12-13 at the Penn State Blue Course.
