Men’s Golf Moves Up to Finish Sixth at Nassau Intercollegiate

GLEN COVE, N.Y. – The University of Delaware men's golf team carded a 290 on Tuesday, the second-lowest round of the day, to move up the standings and finish sixth among 12 teams at the Nassau Intercollegiate, hosted by LIU. The Fightin' Blue Hens turned in a three-round score of 46-over par 886 at the par-70, 6,829-yard Nassau Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hens totaled 30 birdies over the three rounds.
- Jeffrey Homer registered six birdies while carding three-straight rounds of 4-over par to lead Delaware.
- Iampongsai finished with five total birdies, including three in Tuesday's final round when he shot a 3-over par 73 to move up in the standings.
- Matthew Homer carded four of his six birdies on Tuesday when he turned in an even-par 70 to shoot up from 50th into a tie for 24th.
- Vuradi and Areephun each tallied four birdies on their scorecards over the 54 holes.
UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will return to action in the spring as it will gear up for their first-ever Conference USA Championship.
