NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware women's golf senior Alisa Khokhlova has been named the CAA Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. The award is the second of the season for Khokhlova and the fifth for the Blue Hens. It recognizes Khokhlova's efforts at the Terrapin Invitational this past weekend.
Khokhlova recorded her second individual win of the season, and third of her career, as she turned in a 2-under par over the three rounds. She battled tough, wet conditions to finish atop a challenging field that featured five Power Four programs. The senior carded a bogey-free, 2-under par 70 to share the individual lead after 18 holes on Sunday. She then jumped from fourth back into first with a 1-under par 71 on Monday.
It is Khokhlova's fifth-career CAA Golfer of the Week selection and second of the season after earning the honor following her victory at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational in October.
Delaware finished fifth at the Terrapin Invitational in a tough 14-team field with a three-round team score of 26-over par. The Blue Hens totaled 36 birdies over the three rounds and its score of 890 was its third-lowest 54-hole score of the season.
UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will travel to the 2025 CAA Championship this weekend as the squad looks to defend its title from a season ago. The three-day championship will be played April 11-13 at The Clubs at St. James in Southport, North Carolina.
