OF NOTE
- Zubov’s three-round total of 210 was the lowest winning score by a PGA WORKS Men’s Collegiate Champion since 2017 and is tied for the fourth-lowest 54-hole score in the tournament’s history.
- Zubov becomes the second Delaware individual men’s champion, joining former teammate Sparky Ariyachatvakin who won the tournament in 2022.
- With Zubov’s win on the men’s side, and Hyunji Kim’s victory in a playoff on the women’s side, Delaware becomes just the second school to sweep the men’s and women’s individual PGA WORKS Collegiate Championships, joining Bethune-Cookman in 2000.
- With their finish among the top three, both Zubov and Areephun are now eligible to apply for one sponsor exemption into the Korn Ferry Tour’s 2025 Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open, taking place June 19-22, at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kansas.
ABOUT PGA WORKS
The PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship (PWCC) was created in 1986 to highlight competitive golf programs at the most underserved and underrepresented Minority-Serving Institutions in the country, and educate and inspire student-athletes to pursue career opportunities in the business of golf and beyond. PWCC is considered the most culturally significant championship in collegiate golf (75% of 2024 players identified as “non-white”).
The Championship is a 54-hole, stroke-play event contested across five divisions from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), and other Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs).
The individual competition is open to all minority men and women student-athletes playing collegiate golf at the Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, and NJCAA level, or eligible students who are enrolled in one of the PGA of America’s PGA Golf Management University Programs.
