Anna Logan Gillens Named to CUSA Preseason All-Conference Team, Volleyball Picked Third in Preseason Poll

DALLAS - University of Delaware's Anna Logan Gillens was named to Conference USA's Preseason All-Conference Team was picked third in the preseason poll.

Gillens is coming off a big sophomore season that culminated with being named Second-Team All-CAA, the only sophomore in the league to be named to an All-Conference team. Gillens became the first Delaware player in true sophomore season or earlier to earn All-Conference honors since Spring 2021, and first in a full season since 2017. For the season, she recorded 3.23 kills per set and had 18 double-digit kill matches, including eight matches with 15 or more kills. In conference-only matches, she ranked sixth in the CAA at 3.51 kills per set. On Oct. 26, she had a career-best 26 kills and a .283 hitting percentage in a win against Hofstra.

Delaware received 87 points in the polling, trailing only 2024 NCAA Tournament teams Western Kentucky and UTEP and ranked ahead of Kennesaw State, New Mexico State, Liberty, FIU, Sam Houston, Missouri State, Middle Tennessee, Jacksonville State, and Louisiana Tech. WKU enters 2025 having won 92 consecutive conference matches, while UTEP was an NCAA at-large team last season as it enters its final year in the league. Delaware is coming off its best stretch in over a decade, having gone 44-12 overall and 30-6 in CAA play with three-straight conference championship matches. The Blue Hen will open up the season at the K-State Invitational on August 30 against UMBC and Kansas State before hosting the Blue Hen Invitational on Sept. 5 against Virginia Tech, Hampton, and Le Moyne. Delaware will open CUSA play on Sept. 26 against NM State at home. The conference tournament is scheduled for Nov. 21-23 in Miami, Fla.

Single-game tickets for volleyball will start at $12 for adults and $10 for children (3-12). Season ticket packages will also be available at 50% off the single-game adult rate.
