Men’s Golf Earns PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Delaware men's golf team has been named a recipient of the 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced on Tuesday. The Fightin' Blue Hens were one of a GCAA-record 292 schools across six divisions to be recognized and one of 75 Division I programs to earn Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above.
The men's golf team boasted a 3.68 team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year and was among the UD athletic department leaders with a 3.71 GPA in the fall semester, and a 3.64 mark in the spring. In July, the Blue Hens had a trio of student-athletes - Matthew Homer, Casper Nerpin and Egor Zubov – selected as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.
