NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware Director of Golf Patty Post has announced the women's golf schedule for the upcoming fall season. The Fightin' Blue Hens are entering their first season as a member of Conference USA and will play in five tournaments in the first half of their season.
Delaware will travel south to open the season at the Golfweek Fall Challenge (Sep. 7-9) in Pawleys Island, S.C. The Blue & Gold last played in the event in September 2023, placing fifth in an 18-team field. The team tied a program record with a 6-under par 278 in the final round. Alisa Khokhlova and Christina Carroll led the way with top-10 finishes.
The Blue Hens will then travel to Wisconsin where they will look to defend their team title at the Badger Invitational (Sep. 14-16) in Verona, Wisc. Last fall, Delaware used a 6-under par in the second round to cruise to open the season with a seven-stroke victory. Mary Grace Dunigan and Lilia Henkel both tied for third place in the individual standings.
UD will wrap up September as it returns to Penn State for the Nittany Lion Invitational (Sep. 21-22) in University Park, Pa. The Blue Hens placed fifth last season behind another top-10 finish from Henkel.
October will open up with a trip out to Kansas for the Marilynn Smith Invitational (Oct. 6-7) in Lawrence, Kan. It is Delaware's second-straight season participating in the tournament after turning in a ninth-place finish last fall.
The fall schedule will close out when UD hosts the annual Lady Blue Hen Invitational (Oct. 18-19) at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Del. The Hens will aim to defend their title from last season when they won their home tournament for the first time since the inaugural event in 2013. Khokhlova won the individual title for the second-straight season and four Blue Hens finished in the top 20.
The full 2025 fall schedule can be seen here.
Delaware returns four of its top six scorers from a season ago when the team recorded six top-five finishes, including two victories. UD has added three talented newcomers and will look to compete for its first Conference USA Championship this spring.
