Lubic Receives Conference USA Offensive of the Week

DALLAS – Freshman midfielder Lilli Lubic of the University of Delaware women's soccer program received the Conference USA offensive player of the week, the league announced on Tuesday.
The freshman from Ashburn, Virginia scored two goals this past weekend to help the Fightin' Blue Hens earn a 1-0-1 record. She scored the game tying goal against Towson in a 2-2 draw and scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over UMBC.
Lubic is the third athlete in three weeks to receive the weekly conference honors for the Blue Hens. Maggie Groh received the offensive player of the week honors back on August 19 and Sophia Hall earned goalkeeper of the week honors on August 26.
The Blue Hens are back at Grant Stadium on Thursday, September 4 against Cornell at 6 p.m.
UD is looking for its best start in program history with either a win or a tie on Thursday.
