Mary Grace Dunigan Named CUSA Golfer of the Week

DALLAS – University of Delaware women's golf junior Mary Grace Dunigan as been named the Conference USA (CUSA) Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. It is Delaware's first weekly award of the season and the program's first as a member of CUSA.
It is the fourth-career weekly honor for Dunigan who was previously named the CAA Golfer of the Week three times, including twice last season as a sophomore.
Dunigan recorded her second-straight top-10 finish as she placed sixth at the Nittany Lion Invitational. She carded two rounds at even par and finished the 54-hole tournament with at 1-over par. The junior helped lead Delaware to its second-consecutive runner-up finish as the Blue Hens were the only team under par (-2) in the final round to move up to second, finishing just one stroke behind Penn State. Dunnigan recorded five birdies over the three rounds.

Delaware will return to action when it travels back out to the Midwest for the Marilynn Smith Invitational, hosted by the University of Kansas. The two-day, three-round tournament will be held Oct. 6-7 at the Lawrence Country Club in Lawrence, Kansas.
