Cross Country Ranked No.14 in USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region

NEWARK, Del. — The University of Delaware cross country program is ranked No. 14 in the NCAA Division I Mid-Atlantic Region poll, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Monday.
Per the USTFCCCA, rankings are determined by one member coach in each respective region, measuring returning team's prospects and current season results to determine rankings in member programs.
The Fightin' Blue Hens enter the regional rankings after a 2nd place finish at the Delaware Invitational back on September 19 at White Clay Creek. At the Invitational, Marie-Theres Gruber won the race with a time of 17:22.70. She broke the course record by over a minute and won the race by more than two minutes.
The Blue Hens are ranked in the regional poll for the second time this season. They were ranked No. 13 in the previous poll on September 15. Click here to view the poll.
UD travels to Bethlehem, Pa. to compete in the Paul Short Run on Friday, October 3 at 9:30 a.m.
