One of the nation's top faceoff specialists • earned second team All-CAA honors • led the CAA and ranked No. 4 in the NCAA in faceoff pct. (.637) and ranked third in the CAA and No. 25 in the NCAA in groundballs (5.93 per game) • played in 14 games (missed Lafayette and CAA semifinal game vs. Hofstra with injury) • won 153 of 240 faceoff attempts (.637) while recording 83 groundballs, one goal, and three assists • scored goal in regular season vs. Hofstra and had assists in three straight games vs. Fairfield, Mt. St. Mary's, and Villanova • won 50 percent or better of his faceoffs in 12 of his 14 games • had season-high 17 wins in 23 attempts vs. Villanova and 16 of 21 against Saint Joseph's • also won 15 of 22 vs. Fairfield, 14 of 18 vs. Lafayette, 13 of 17 vs. Manhattan, and 7 of 10 in playoff berth-clinching win over UMass • had season-high nine groundballs vs. Villanova and Manhattan.

Took over the starting faceoff specialist honors with the graduation of All-CAA performer Dan Cooney and was a solid • appeared in all 15 games and won 173 of 304 faceoff attempts (.569) and led team with 84 groundballs • ranked No. 3 in the CAA and No. 16 in the NCAA in faceoff winning pct. (.569) and was No. 2 in the CAA and 25th in the NCAA in groundballs (5.6) • recorded six shot but did not score • won half or better of his faceoff attempts in 13 of 15 games • season-best effort was 16 wins in 21 attempts vs. Saint Joseph's • also won 15 of 25 draws vs. Drexel, 14 of 18 vs. Hofstra, and 14 of 21 against Loyola • had season-best 10 groundballs vs. Loyola and Hofstra and had five or more seven other times.

Saw action in eight games as a backup faceoff specialist behind Cooney • won 18 of 42 faceoff attemps for a 43 percent winning percentage • picked up 11 groundballs and scored first career goal on first career shot vs. Towson • won 3 of 4 faceoffs in career debut vs. Detroit and was 4 for 7 against No. 3 ranked Johns Hopkins • had season-high four groundballs vs. Hofstra.
HIGH SCHOOL
Three-year starter at midfield and on faceoffs at Bridgetwater-Raritan High School • led team to three-year record of 53-12, including a 22-2 mark as a senior in 2011 when he led the squad the state title • member of the prestigious U.S. Under-19 squad that competed in the World Games in Finland in Summer, 2011 and won the gold medal • honor roll student • enjoyed an outstanding career and senior season season at Bridgewater-Raritan • earned first team All-American, All-State, all-county, and all-area honors as a senior • named state Midfielder of the Year for New Jersey as a senior.

Tyler Matthew-Hunter Barbarich ("barber-rich") • born Sept. 17, 1992 • son of David and Pat Barbarich • has two older sisters • exercise science major at Delaware with a minor in strength & conditioning • works as a lacrosse camp counselor during the summer • father played two seasons of football at the University of Pennsylvania.
