Team co-captain alongside Coley Ricci • earned a starting spot in each of Delaware’s 17 games • finished season with a career-best 17 ground balls • added 12 draw controls and 10 caused turnovers • helped guide Blue Hens defensive unit that placed 13^th nationally with a scoring defense of 7.53 • caused a career-best three turnovers in win over Canisius (March 5) • tied a career-high with three ground balls against James Madison (April 22), a mark good to tie for 16^th in Delaware Stadium history • UD Team Sportsmanship Award winner • National College Athlete Honor Society (Chi Alpha Sigma) selection • CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

2015 SEASON
Appeared in the starting lineup for all of Delaware’s 18 games • fifth for the Blue Hens with 11 caused turnovers • key component of a Delaware defense that finished fourth nationally with 7.0 scoring defense • team also ranked 16^th in the NCAA with 9.59 caused turnovers per game • logged 13 groundballs • tied a career-high with three groundballs at Lafayette (Feb. 17) • collected lone draw control of the season at William & Mary (April 17) • National College Athlete Honor Society selction.

2014 SEASON
Started all 17 games during her sophomore season • third on the team with 16 draw controls • fourth overall with 12 caused turnovers • added 13 groundballs • registered a career-best four draw controls at George Washington (March 22) • collected a groundball and caused turnover in team’s CAA Tournament appearance vs. James Madison (5/2/14).

2013 SEASON
Played in 13 games while starting the final six games of the season for the Blue Hens in rookie campaign • finished year with five groundballs, four caused turnovers and three draw controls • recorded first career groundball and caused turnover in team’s 15-11 win over Temple (March 27) • posted a season-best game at James Madison (April 5) with three groundballs and two caused turnovers • UD Team Sportsmanship Award honoree.

Abigail “Abby” Burke Wheble ("web--bull")• born September 23, 1993 • daughter of Andrew and Donna Wheble • has one older sister, Emily • cites sister as the biggest influence on her as an athlete because she always encouraged, pushed and supported her in addition to being an amazing athlete herself • majoring in elementary education and special education • began playing lacrosse in seventh grade and field hockey in ninth grade • chose Delaware for the team, coaches, location, education program and “championship vision" • works as a tour guide at Herr's Snack Factory.
