Kacy Kapinos joined the University of Delaware men's lacrosse program as an assistant coach during the summer of 2024.

Kapinos comes to Delaware with over 10 years of coaching experience, from the high school and club levels to the collegiate level, most recently at Lafayette College. While with the Leopards, Kapinos led the faceoff and wing units, scout team defense, and scout man-down while also running the substitution box. His expertise helped Lafayette go from a .440 faceoff percentage in 2023 to .571 in 2024. It was the Leopards' highest faceoff percentage in Lafayette's Patriot League era.

Before his time in Easton, Pa., Kapinos began his coaching career as the head coach of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes lacrosse club. He built a winning program through his ability to instill confidence in his athletes and teaching them how to overcome challenges. During his time with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Kapinos was the assistant coach for Loyola Blakefield in Baltimore. While at Loyola Blakefield, Kapinos implemented and managed skill development for goalie and faceoff units and developed and led pre-practice offensive skill work.

He graduated from Ohio State in December 2016 with a B.S. Health Sciences and a minor in Entrepreneurship. The Baltimore, Md. native was a team captain and defensive midfielder for the Buckeyes. He was named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team in 2015, tabbed a two-time scholar-athlete, received the Buckeye Power Club award, and was an ECAC and Big Ten Lacrosse Tournament Champion in 2013.
