AT DELAWARE
Fifth-year member of the squad as a redshirt senior midfielder • returning starter, looking for a continued impact in the midfield • three-time letterwinner.
2018 SEASON
Was one of six Blue Hens to start all 14 games of the season, marking the second year in a row in which he started every game • scored a career high 27 goals including one game winning goal, good for second on the team only behind Charlie Kitchen • rattled off 90 shots, 52 were on net • assisted on 15 goals which was the most of any Blue Hen this season • ranked sixth in the CAA with 1.93 goals per game and seventh in the CAA with 1.07 assists per game • also ranked sixth in the CAA avergaing 3.00 points per game • scored six man-up goals while picking up 18 ground balls and forcing two turnovers • netted a hat-trick on four seperate occasions (vs. Mount St. Mary's, NJIT, Monmouth, Drexel) including a seven goal performance vs. Drexel • named the CAA Player of the Week two seperate times for his performances vs. Mount St. Mary's and Drexel • selected to the CAA All-Tournament team and the 2nd-team All-CAA.
2017 SEASON
Earned the starting nod in all 15 games during his junior season • scored 17 goals, and 17 assists which is good for second on the squad • totaled 34 points on the season • ranked sixth in the CAA with 1.13 assists per game • recorded a hat trick in the 13-9 victory over top ranked Rutgers (Mar. 25) • a part of a Blue Hen offense that ranked second in the CAA with 10.53 goals per game and second with 15.80 points per game • fired 87 shots on the season, 48 of which were shots on goal • had 17 groundballs and caused three turnovers • 2nd team All-Colonial Athletic Association • Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week (Mar. 27).
2016 SEASON
Earned a bigger role on the squad and played in 14 • scored four goals on the season, along with an assists for five points • fired 28 shots including 10 of which were on goal • had six groundballs and caused a turnover.
2015 SEASON
Played in seven games for the season and started one of them against High Point • had seven goals as well as two assists (Holy Cross, Mount Saint Mary's) • recorded one groundball against Holy Cross and caused two turnovers for the season coming from games facing High Point and Rutgers • Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week (Mar. 9)
2014 SEASON
Did not see game action in first collegiate season due to an injury • retained freshman eligibility.
HIGH SCHOOL
Standout midfielder at Archbishop Spalding High School for head coaches Ricky Schwartzberg (2011) and Bear Davis (2012-13) • high school teammate of current UD defender Joey Prieto and goalkeeper Andrew Dirks • three-year starter • earned All-State (MIAA) honors as a senior in 2013 and was a two-time All-Anne Arundel County selection • played club lacrosse for T2 Storm and Soco Lacrosse.

William Thomas "Will" Hirschmann • born July 8, 1995 • son of Tom and Teri Hirschmann • has an older sister and a younger brother • brother, Stephen, is a junior midfielder for the Blue Hens • honor student as an economics major at Delaware • earned undergraduate degree in May, 2017 and currently pursuing a master's degree in international business as part of the MBA program • hobbies include traveling and following New England Patriots of the NFL • father played college football at Lycoming (Pa.) • has worked as a sales and trading intern during the summer.
