Kerwood joined the Delaware Softball staff for the 2025-26 academic year after a standout playing career.Â
Kerwood spent her final season with the Blue Hens in 2025 after transferring from Monmouth, earning CAA and ECAC Pitcher of the Year while being named to the NFCA East Region First-Team. She set single-season program records for wins (23) and strikeouts (250) and tied the single-game strikeout record against a conference opponent with 15 on April 25, 2025. Kerwood went 23-10 with a save and a .159 ERA with 13 complete games in 194 innings. In the CAA, she ranked first in ERA, wins, strikeouts, innings pitched, complete games, BAA, hits allowed per seven innings, strikeout-to-walk rate, and pitching WAR and ranked second in shutouts and WHIP, and become first CAA pitcher to lead conference in ERA, wins, and strikeouts since 2017. Nationally, she ranked ranked eighth in strikeouts, ninth in ERA, 13th in shutouts, 16th in hits allowed per seven innings (4.80), 18th in wins, 19th in innings pitched and WHIP (1.00), 26th in strikeouts-to-walk ratio (4.10), and 75th in complete games. Kerwood was the winning pitcher in Delaware’s win over Michigan on Feb. 7, UD’s first ever win against a ranked opponent, by allowing zero earned runs in 4.2 innings. Softball America ranked her 97th in its top 100 Player Rankings for the 2025 season, and D1Softall had her ranked 24th in its mid-major player 2025 rankings.Â
During her career at Monmouth, Kerwood pitched to a 3.33 ERA in 95 appearances with 459 strikeouts in 443.1 innings - ranking fourth all-time in program history in strikeouts. She led the CAA in strikeouts in 2023 with 157. In 2022, she was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team after striking out 135 in 130.2 innings with a 3.71 ERA, including a 2.24 ERA in conference play.Â
For her career, she pitched in 135 games and 673.1 innings with a 2.80 ERA, 709 strikeouts, and 51 complete games. She finished her career as one of five active pitchers with at least 700 strikeouts. Her 574 strikeouts while a member of the CAA are the ninth most in the conference's history.Â
