Jill Moore joined the Delaware coaching staff on August 1, 2025.

In Delaware's first season in Conference USA and Moore's first year with the Blue Hens, UD went 31–24 overall and 17–10 in league play, reaching 30 wins for a third consecutive season for the first time in program history. The season was highlighted by an 11-game winning streak in April, the fourth winning streak of at least 10 games over the last three seasons. Delaware’s 12-game home winning streak from March 21 to May 1 was the second-longest in program history, while its nine-game conference winning streak from April 2-18 ranked as the fourth-longest in a single season. The Blue Hens also hit at least 40 home runs in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history. On March 28 against Liberty, Delaware earned a 12–3 win in six innings, marking the most runs allowed by Liberty in a conference game since March 31, 2015, and the most allowed by the Flames in a Conference USA game to that point. Delaware became the first team to defeat Liberty by at least nine runs in a conference game since Radford on March 25, 2017. Offensively, led by Moore, Delaware set single-season program records for walks (201), hit by pitches (44), and runs scored in a conference tournament game (11 vs. New Mexico State on May 6). The team also recorded its second-most runs (274), home runs (55), and on-base percentage (.382) in a season. Additionally, Delaware posted the fourth-most total bases (618) and extra-base hits (116), along with the sixth-most stolen bases (62) and slugging percentage (.443) while totaling the program’s eighth-most hits (387).

Moore comes to Newark after spending three historic seasons as the head coach at Division III Maryville College, where she went 85-48 and 34-14 in CCS play and led the program to an at-large NCAA Tournament appearance in 2024. Under Moore's guidance, Maryville had 10 All-Conference honorees and six All-Region selections. In 2024, Maryville set a program record for wins with 35, won the CCS Tournament, and were ranked 21st nationally by the NFCA. Maryville had also reached the conference championship game in 2023, Moore's first season. In 2025, Maryville finished third in the conference, but rallied to win 13 of its last 16 regular season games and went 3-2 in the conference tournament before falling in the semifinals. Moore also managed academic programs, recruiting, budgeting, scheduling, and travel - including managing the construction of a $100,000 facility project to enhance the program's batting cages.

Before Maryville, Moore was a coach at Lynn University from 2012-2021. She served as head coach for her final three years with the program after having been an assistant. Four athletes earned All-Conference honors during her tenure as head coach. She also has made stops at UMBC and Saint Francis to begin her coaching career.

As a player, Moore was a two-time All-Northeast Conference catcher at Robert Morris and hit .345 in her four-year career. She helped the Colonials to their first-ever NCAA Regional Appearance in 2005 while also claiming the NEC Regular Season and Tournament titles. She graduated from Robert Morris with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and then earned her master's in Education from St. Francis.
