Ariana Palmer joined the Marketing and Engagement department at Delaware in June 2020 and was promoted to Director of Marketing & Engagement in May 2023.
At Delaware, Ariana is the primary marketing contact for Men’s Basketball, Softball, and Men’s & Women’s Golf. She is also secondary contact for Volleyball & Men’s & Women’s Swim & Dive. Ariana leads digital marketing efforts including email marketing and digital signage around campus.
In 22-23 season, Ariana was a crucial part of the team who helped increase Men’s Basketball revenue by 50%, marking the efforts the 2nd highest earning season in Delaware history. Future Hens Club saw an 100% increase in membership from the 21-22 season and Delaware’s NGWSD Clinic welcomed the highest number of attendees since its inception due to her efforts.
During the 21-22 season, Ariana assisted the department with student engagement initiatives and digital marketing coordination including leading the charge on the 2022 Student Bus Activation to allow students to attend the 2022 Men’s & Women’s CAA Basketball Tournaments.
Ariana arrived in Newark following a stint with LEARFIELD Amplify (formally LEARFIELD Ticket & Seat Solutions) at The University of Pittsburgh as a Marketing Coordinator where she worked within the Panthers Ticket Office to help generate over $50,000 in ticket sales revenue in just 10 months.
A native of Burlington, N.J., Ariana spent two years working for Cox Automotive in Bordentown, N.J. as a Marketing Coordinator and as a Client Services Specialist.
Before earning her master’s degree in Sports Management from Drexel University in 2019, Ariana competed as a 4-year varsity member of the swimming & diving team at Rider University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Sports Management with minors in Spanish for Business and Leadership. She served as captain her senior year and continues to hold numerous top-10 all-time team records.
Ariana is currently a member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) where she serves on various committees to help generate ideas on how to increase revenue and better fan experience throughout our industry.
