Jordan Tobin joined University of Delaware Athletics in July 2020 as the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities & Operations. In his current role, he has daily oversight of all of DIARS facilities that support 21 varsity sports, club teams, and numerous external events each year. Tobin handles facility scheduling for all athletic facilities and meeting room spaces, and coordinates setup and breakdown activities in those areas as well. Tobin is the department's primary liaison to the University's Facilities, Real Estate, and Auxiliary Services department, Grounds, and Custodial Services.
Prior to coming to Delaware, Tobin spent the last 15 years working at American University as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities & Operations. At American University, Tobin oversaw the daily programmatic needs and requests for 16 Division I sports, 27 club sports, as well as intramurals, Health & Fitness classes, other University events such as Commencement and recruitment events, and external rentals related to facility availability, equipment, event support, and logistical operations. Tobin was responsible for negotiating and booking external events as a way to generate revenue for the department. Some of the high profile events Tobin was a part of included a campaign stop for former President Obama, two visits by the Dalai Lama, speeches by former President Carter & Clinton, and hosting an indoor tennis event support the Elton John Aids Foundation that raised half-a-million dollars in one evening. He also coordinated several facility enhancement project, including the reconfiguration of the lower level of the Sports Center which included new locker rooms and a new athletic training room for all varsity athletic programs, the installation of new telescopic bleachers and two videoboards in Bender Arena, and a five-year plan to overhaul the Reeves Aquatic Center, which included a new message board & timing system, a new HVAC system, new lighting, new acoustic panels, new deck tile, and the installation of an additional 1-meter diving board. Tobin also spearheaded a renovation project at the William I Jacobs Recreational Complex, which included the installation of new turf, new bleachers, a new videoboard, new fencing and protective netting, and a new remote controlled watering system for field hockey.
Tobin also previously worked for two years as the Director of Game Operations & Facilities at Johns Hopkins University, which included facility management and event management responsibilities for 24 sports over 8 different facilities. At Johns Hopkins, Tobin served on the Operations Committee in hosting the 2003 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Final Four at M&T Bank Stadium, the first time this event was hosted at an NFL Stadium.
In his spare time, Tobin has worked in various capacities at the scorer's table for collegiate and professional teams. Tobin has worked as the shot clock operator and/or the official scorer for both the Washington Wizards & Philadelphia 76ers (NBA), the Capital City Go-Go and the Delaware Blue Coats (NBA G-League), Washington Mystics (WNBA), and Catholic University, Georgetown University, George Mason University, and the George Washington University (NCAA). Tobin has also had the opportunity to work post-season tournaments for the Atlantic Coach Conference, the Atlantic 10 Conference, the B1G Ten Conference, the Colonial Athletic Association, and worked eight NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments.

Tobin graduated from the University of Delaware in 2001 with a B.S in Business Administration. He served as a Marketing Intern in the Fall of 2000, and as an Operations Intern in the Spring of 2001, where he helped coordinate the America East Men's Basketball, Softball, and Baseball Tournaments. He later went on to earn his M.T.A. in Tourism Administration from The George Washington University in 2004. Tobin is also a graduate of IAVM's Venue Management School. He lives in Wilmington with his wife and son.
