Ande'a Cherisier
University of Delaware women's basketball's Ande'a Cherisier was named Conference USA Player of the Week after her performances against Middle Tennessee and WKU. It is the first time a Fightin' Blue Hen has earned the player of the week award from CUSA in program history.
Cherisier averaged a double-double (17.5 ppg and 10.5 rpg) in a 2-0 week for the Blue Hens. The Baltimore, Md. native scored 18 points, including reaching double-figures in just the first seven minutes of the contest against MTSU. She added 13 rebounds for her team-leading fifth double-double this season. Cherisier helped UD snap the Blue Raiders' streak of 39-consecutive Conference USA home wins dating back to March 4, 2021. Cherisier rounded out the week by recording 17 points, going 8-for-11 from the floor to go with eight rebounds in the win over WKU.
