After a fourth place finish, along with a new personal best in the discus throw (51.56 meters), Nubia Evans-Shields was one of two athletes to represent the University of Delaware track & field program at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East First Round. Evans-Shield tossed a throw of 47.28 meters in the event.
