Blue Hen Men's Golfers in 12th Place Following First Day of Barnabas Health Intercollegiate

BEDMINSTER, N.J. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team posted a 313 score on Saturday and sits in 12th place out of 17 teams following the first day of the Barnabas Health Intercollegiate hosted by Seton Hall.
The Pirates and James Madison are tied for the team lead after both squads shot 297 during the tournament's first round. Temple is third at 298, while Long Island is fourth at 301 and Longwood sits in fifth place at 305.
Blue Hen sophomore Corey Wagner (at right) carded a five over par 77 on the par 72, 7,014-yard River Course at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club, and is tied for 27th place in the individual standings. Senior Stephen Scialo is tied for 41st place after he posted a six over par 78 during his opening round.
Freshman Fraser Graham and junior Ben Conroy each carded a seven over par 79 and are tied for 56th place, while senior Greg Matthias finished his round at eight over par 80 and is tied for 64th place.
Brandon Park of Seton Hall carded a three under par 69 on Saturday and leads the field, while three players shot 71 and are two strokes back.
The Barnabas Health Intercollegiate concludes Sunday with another single round at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club.
