Blue Hen Men's Golf Team To Participate in First Tee of Delaware Event Sunday at Rock Manor Golf Club

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team will participate in a special event with The First Tee of Delaware on Sunday at Rock Manor Golf Club in Wilmington.
The Blue Hen players and coaches will have the opportunity to work with participants of the program from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. along with members of the Penn, Goldey Beacom, Wilmington University and Wesley golf teams.
The event will give First Tee participants the opportunity to learn from collegiate players and coaches in the areas of golf instruction and wellness, as well as the importance of high school graduation, preparation for college, and college golf opportunities.
There is no cost for the clinic, which is open to all area young ages 5-18 (high school seniors are eligible). Interested participants can email jackie.short@thefirstteedelaware.org or charma.bell@thefirstteedelaware.org to pre-register or receive additional information.
The First Tee of Delaware is a nonprofit youth development organization whose mission is to impact the lives of young people in the state by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development, life-enhancing values and healthy choices through the game of golf.
Since its inception in 1997, The First Tee has emerged as a youth development organization focused on using golf as its platform to positively impact the lives of young people across the country. The First Tee of Delaware is one of over 200 chapters created since 1997.
