Six Events Including Hosting the CAA Championships Highlight University of Delaware Men's Golf 2012 Spring Schedule

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team will compete in six tournaments including the Colonial Athletic Association Championships that will be held at nearby Wilmington Country Club as the Blue Hens' 2012 spring schedule was released on Friday.
Delaware, led by 11th-year head coach Mike Keogh, will open the spring slate on March 16-17 when the Blue Hens participate in the George Washington Intercollegiate Invitational at Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club in Bethany Beach, Del. Delaware then will compte in the C&F Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va. on March 25-27.
The following week the Blue Hens will play in the Villanova Wildcat Invitational at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa. on April 2-3, and four days later will compete in the Penn State Rutherford Intercollegiate at the PSU Blue Course in State College, Pa. on April 7-8.
Delaware will participate in the Longwood Intercollegiate on April 13-14 at the Manor Resort in Farmville, Va., before hosting the CAA Championships for the first time in school history. The league championship will be held at Wilmington Country Club on April 27-29, with 18 holes being played on all three days.
The Blue Hens are coming off a fall season in which Delaware posted three top-10 finishes, including winning the Navy Fall Classic team title for the second consecutive year. Senior Stephen Scialo and junior Ben Conroy each averaged 74.88 strokes per round during the fall campaign to pace the Blue Hen squad.
